Will my No Claims Discount (NCD) be affected?

As a general rule, your NCD will be affected by a claim against your policy until such time that your insurer is successful in recovering all costs from the party which is deemed to be at fault.

Where NCD is affected, it will be reduced by the appropriate amount from your next renewal. If you have a protected NCD, it will usually not be affected by the first 2 claims in any five-year period of cover.
